Here I go...

Here it is, my first blog.  The phrase, "everyone is doing it," has never been a huge push to get me into anything.  I really don't care what everyone else is doing.  However, I have always been a huge advocate for journaling and I thought this would be a great way to both journal and keep in touch with people.  Not to mention the fact that I am so O.C.D. about checking out everyone else's blogs that I thought I should just start my own to help me with my blogging issues. Seriously, I would check all the blogs on my list multiple times a day.  I know this might make some of you feel a little stalked by me, but isn't stalking just another form of flattering someone?  So, here I go, full steam ahead.  Because, well, everyone is doing it.

I wrote that back in August and saved it (it is now Oct. 14).  I was just not ready to post it.  I have been nagged by all of my friends and most of my family to start a blog.  Little did they know that I had one started months ago.  I am getting nervous and sick about posting it now.  I am just not the blogger type... or am I.

have you ever tried using an RSS feed reader?

I used Google Reader... that way i don't have to check people's blogs... the blogs just show up in my reader when they're new... woohoo...

Anyways... good luck!

P.S. Just my little bit of unsolicited advice when it comes to blogging. Don't stress or worry about what anyone else who is reading thinks. I just blog about what I'll care about 20 years down the road... usually what I would have scrapbooked or journaled and have it printed up every year with www.blurb.com. Now I don't have to feel guilty over my lack of scrapbooking! It doesn't matter what we think... just that you do it.

Yeah!!!!! Mallory has a blog! Mallory has a blog! My life is complete now! Trust me, Mal, I felt a little weird the first couple of times I posted something, but that kind of went away. Now I only feel weird every now and then depending on my posts. Ha!

Oh, and whoever this Liam guy is . . . is right. I use Google Reader too. You never have to check constantly throughout the day. It shows up just as if you have a new email or something like that. It's amazing!

And, as far as your "the matthews four" friends are concerned, she hit the nail on the head. Blurb.com is amazing! It will literally turn your blog into a book of your journaling and pictures. Love it!

So, after all that, I just am so happy to welcome you to the blogging world and I will be your #1 stalker!

I'm your #1 fan. Plus you are an amazing writer and I always love to know what is going on with you! It is a great way to journal and keep in touch. Who says that computers separate people? I think it brings us closer together! Hooray! I really hope you do write a lot and that it is TMI.

Yahoo! I'm glad you finally started this and can't wait to read about all of your adventures in marriage and with clients.

And since Sarah and Serena will be your #1 (& #2) fans, and Lincoln #3, and your mom #4...well, I'll be up there anyway :)

Hey Mallory, I just "tagged" you on my recent post. Check it out. You don't have to do it if you don't want to because I really don't like these things, but it would be fun to read your answers!
