FYI- I always smooth out the bun in the back when I am finished, I just didn't do it very well in the video. And, just in case some of you are using your Nancy Drew skill and wondering why I am wearing a different outfit in the video, I did the video on one of my days off. However, I swear to you that I didn't cheat and I did wear my hair like this today. The picture was taken after my long 11 hour day, and the bun is still going strong. I challenge you to give it a try and make it your own. I sometimes add a fabric flower or I twist the hair as I wrap it around. Do your thing and let me know how it goes.
Have a happy hair day!

I'm a new fan and am loving your ideas! I'm currently growing out my hair, it's a couple of inches below my shoulders and I never know what to do with it other than put it up in a dreadful ponytail - so thanks for all of the great ideas!! :)
Mallory,
I've been out of town, and now that I'm back, I'm getting caught up on your blog and all your fun hair tutorials! I love it!!! You are so creative and cute in your videos. It is fun to "learn" from the pros. Thanks for doing these, I feel like I really need some new ideas! You're awesome!
Mal, I wear my hair like this a lot. For me, it's my go-to style for when I get out of the shower and my hair has just air-dried. When I do my version, it looks a little more messy and frizzy, but I kind of like it. I'll have to show you sometime.
I really like this style, Mallory. I wish my hair were long enough to try this style!
I am just bubbled up with love for you watching this video!! Love the outfit, love the necklace, love the bun, love the make-up, love you!
Thank you for this! I love the ballerina bun but could never figure out how to make it so full and pretty. I'm pinning this so I can try it out later :)
